Source: AGCO (Ontario)

Ontario's Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) issued a proposed order to suspend PointsBet Canada's igaming registration for five days over an alleged failure to identify and report suspicious bets involving Jontay Porter in 2024. The AGCO said PointsBet initially denied offering bets on Porter, then acknowledged doing so after a renewed inquiry; the company can appeal within 15 days to the Licence Appeal Tribunal.

The proposed action concerns operators' duties to detect and promptly report suspicious sports betting activity in Ontario.
