Editorial independence and sponsorship
Sponsorship pays for the work. It never shapes it.
- Sponsors have no say over coverage. They do not see, approve or influence what we report, when, or how. Material enforcement news is covered whoever the company is.
- Sponsored content is always labelled "Sponsored" or "Presented by", and kept apart from reporting: never inside story summaries, articles or intelligence panels. A feed partner card is a clearly marked card, not a story.
- Sponsors are business-to-business suppliers and service providers only. We carry no consumer gambling advertising, bonuses, betting offers or affiliate links.
- Enforcement and compliance pages, including the enforcement and compliance tracker, are never sponsored.
- Suppliers and sponsors have no say over what we report about them or anyone else. A supplier listing is a labelled profile of what a company does, and buying one never adds, changes or removes coverage.
- Every outbound sponsor link is marked rel="sponsored". Sponsors may be covered like any other company, and if a sponsor is the subject of a report we say so on the report.
- We do not sell or share reader email addresses, and sponsors never receive subscriber data.
How it works in practice
Sponsored placements are booked by date, labelled where they appear and kept apart from reporting. The desk decides what to cover and how to word it under our editorial standards, with the same fair, neutral treatment for every company, including sponsors. Where a company is the subject of enforcement news we include its statement, appeal status and right of reply.
Concerns
If you think a sponsor has influenced our coverage, or a placement breaks these rules, tell us. We will respond within ten working days.
