PointsBet Canada appeals AGCO’s five-day Ontario suspension

Enforcement & compliance

PointsBet Canada said it will appeal to the License Appeal Tribunal against the AGCO’s proposed five-day suspension in Ontario. The AGCO alleges the operator failed to properly monitor, document and report suspicious betting connected to Jontay Porter in 2024; PointsBet said an inaccurate response resulted from human error and that it later disclosed the correct information.

The appeal will contest a proposed suspension arising from the operator’s handling of suspicious betting reports.
