Editorial standards

How SectorWire desk verifies and corrects its reporting. Updated

1. Accuracy

We check names, dates, figures, currencies and decision status against supporting evidence. Reporting distinguishes proposals, approvals and completed actions. Unknown details remain unspecified.

2. Attribution and context

We identify the companies, authorities and people responsible for decisions and statements. Allegations remain allegations. We retain material conditions, responses and appeal status. Research evidence and publication provenance are held privately.

3. Neutrality

We use factual language without promotional claims, risk scores or judgements about companies. Coverage includes licences, investment, partnerships, regulation and compliance.

4. Financial information

Event figures retain their stated currency, scope and reporting period. Share prices are delayed end-of-day observations, with quote dates and units shown. Nothing on the site is investment advice.

5. Editorial independence

Sponsors do not approve editorial coverage. Paid placements are labelled and kept separate from reporting.

6. Research confidentiality

SectorWire publishes editorial intelligence. The underlying research, source registry, working documents and datasets are proprietary and are not available as public downloads. No Creative Commons reuse permission is offered.

9. Corrections

Material corrections and clarifications are dated and recorded. Companies, regulators and readers can request a correction or right of reply through the Corrections page or by emailing [email protected]. We check requests against supporting evidence.
