Nevada Gaming Control Board files enforcement action against Kalshi
Nevada’s Gaming Control Board filed a civil enforcement action against Kalshi, seeking to bar the prediction market operator from doing business in the state. The board says Kalshi’s sports and other event contracts constitute wagering that requires a state licence; the action followed a federal appeals court ruling and the lifting of an injunction.
The action challenges whether Kalshi can offer sports event contracts in Nevada without state gaming licences.
