Nevada Gaming Control Board seeks contempt finding against Kalshi

Enforcement & compliance

The Nevada Gaming Control Board asked a state district court on 12 June to find Kalshi in contempt, alleging it had not complied with an 18 May order barring sports and other event contracts in Nevada. The Board seeks disgorgement of gains or a daily sanction of $120,000, and says investigators bought sports contracts through Kalshi’s app.

The requested ruling could affect Kalshi’s ability to offer event contracts in Nevada and the penalties it faces.
