Kalshi challenges Netflix documentary trailer over alleged Nevada wager

Enforcement & compliance

Kalshi sent Netflix a cease-and-desist letter seeking removal of a trailer segment that it said depicted a fabricated sports trade in Nevada. The company said it had blocked sports-contract trading in the state since 4 May, while Netflix said specific trades shown were between individuals and the apps they used. Kalshi also admitted in court that users continued trading after a Nevada order, and agreed to geofence the state by 12 August.

The dispute highlights Kalshi’s Nevada trading restrictions, continued trading after an order and commitment to geofence the state.
