Meta hosts Foxy Gold gambling adverts targeting users in the Netherlands

Enforcement & compliance

Foxy Gold’s advertising account ran 11 active advert sets targeting the Netherlands during April, with more than one million views on Facebook and Instagram, the report said. Meta removed one advert in early April for an unspecified policy breach, but users reporting other adverts were told no violation had been found. The report says affiliates identify EOD Code SRL as Foxy Gold’s operator; the company’s identity behind the advertising account remains unknown.

The reported adverts indicate ongoing exposure of Dutch users to gambling promotions attributed to an illegal site.
