Brazilian ministries seek removal of 5,209 betting domains

Enforcement & compliance

Brazil’s Justice and Public Security Ministry and Finance Ministry requested the removal of 5,209 betting-related domains by 29 September, according to the report. Anatel ordered the blocking of 2,387 domains, while authorities also reported removal of 300 Facebook pages and 90 Instagram profiles; the action follows Provisional Measure 1.394/2026, which prohibits fixed-odds betting activity.

The enforcement drive requires betting businesses and digital platforms to respond to domain, app and advertising removal measures.
