KSA rejects LeftlanePapi objection to €25,000 penalty collection

Enforcement & compliance

The Kansspelautoriteit rejected LeftlanePapi’s objection to collecting a €25,000 penalty, ruling that he continued streaming illegal gambling after receiving an order to stop. The streamer disputed the findings and said he had changed his content after learning of the order; the KSA also dismissed his other grounds and ruled separate objections to earlier decisions inadmissible as late.

The ruling upholds the €25,000 collection and leaves the streamer’s objections unsuccessful.

The Dutch gambling regulator KSA reprimanded operator 711 for requiring some customers to wager deposited funds before withdrawing them. The KSA said such requirements are permitted only with bonuses under strict conditions and called the practice "highly undesirable". 711 said the policy formed part of its anti-money laundering procedures and has since changed its processes to allow refunds via the original payment method.

The Dutch gambling regulator Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) has reprimanded operator 711 for making some customers gamble their deposited funds before allowing a withdrawal, according to a KSA notice. The KSA said wagering requirements of this kind are permitted only in connection with an offered bonus, and even then under strict conditions. In all other cases, the regulator said, gambling companies must pay out as quickly as possible.
