KVA warns of AI-generated gambling adverts using Dutch influencer’s image

Enforcement & compliance

The KVA warned that an AI-generated gambling advert used the image of Dutch influencer Kalvijn to promote illegal online gambling. It said the advert could exploit the trust he has among viewers, including young people, and urged content creators to monitor and report unauthorised use of their identities to platforms and regulators.

The warning alerts operators and regulators to illegal gambling adverts using influencers’ identities to reach audiences, including minors.
