Unlicensed CazéTV Bet site offers World Cup betting in Brazil

Enforcement & compliance

An unauthorised platform using the CazéTV name and logo offered bets on World Cup matches, including Brazil versus Japan, according to a media report. The report said it referred the site to CazéTV and Brazil’s Finance Ministry, but neither had responded by publication and the platform remained online.

The case illustrates the exposure of bettors to unlicensed platforms operating outside Brazil’s authorisation system.
