Google Ads permits Alberta gambling brand campaigns ahead of market launch

Regulation

Google Ads has updated its policy to permit licensed operators to run brand-awareness campaigns in Alberta before the province’s regulated iGaming launch on 13 July. The campaigns must be restricted to Alberta, and operators seeking certification must provide proof of an AGLC licence application, according to Google’s policy details.

Operators preparing to enter Alberta can advertise their brands before formal wagering begins, subject to provincial targeting and certification conditions.
