Alberta approves IBIA to monitor betting integrity ahead of July launch

Licences & markets

Alberta approved the International Betting Integrity Association to monitor suspicious betting activity for the province’s regulated online market ahead of its planned 13 July launch. IBIA will report suspected activity on licensed platforms to the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission. The report says 28 operators had registered or begun registration by 1 May.

The monitoring arrangement sets an integrity-reporting route for operators entering Alberta’s new regulated market.
