Board members said Bowyer may request a hearing; the Nevada Gaming Commission has the final decision and had not announced when it would consider his case.
Nevada’s Gaming Control Board is due to consider recommending Matthew Bowyer’s inclusion on the state’s list of excluded persons, according to press reporting. Bowyer pleaded guilty in federal court in September 2024 to operating an unlawful gambling business, money laundering and filing a false tax return; he was sentenced to 12 months in prison in August. The Gaming Commission would consider the recommendation before any ban takes effect.
