Nevada commission to consider Wayne Nix Black Book nomination

Enforcement & compliance

The Nevada Gaming Commission is due to consider a Gaming Control Board recommendation to add Wayne Nix to the state’s casino-exclusion Black Book. The Board made the recommendation in December; Nix pleaded guilty in 2022 to conspiracy to operate an illegal gambling business and filing a false tax return. The commission previously fined MGM $8.5 million for knowingly dealing with Nix, according to the report.

The Black Book recommendation could exclude Wayne Nix from Nevada casinos and highlights scrutiny of casino dealings with him.
