Nevada Gaming Control Board nominates Wayne Nix for casino exclusion list

Enforcement & compliance

The Nevada Gaming Control Board nominated bookmaker Wayne Nix for inclusion on the state’s casino exclusion list, with the Nevada Gaming Commission due to consider the case later that month. Deputy Attorney General Mike Somps argued that Nix qualified for exclusion based on his convictions and alleged activity involving casino contacts and money laundering. The board said it would consider a separate case against Matthew Bowyer in January.

The nomination could bar Nix from Nevada casinos, while regulators are also pursuing a separate bookmaker case.
