Nevada regulators propose $7.2m Venetian AML settlement over bookmaker case

Enforcement & compliance

The operators of The Venetian Resort Las Vegas agreed to a proposed $7.2m settlement with Nevada gaming regulators over alleged anti-money laundering failures involving Mathew Bowyer, the report said. The agreement requires Nevada Gaming Commission approval at its August meeting. The complaint concerns activity from 2019 to 2021, before Apollo Global Management acquired the property’s operations in 2022.

The proposed settlement requires commission approval and concerns alleged monitoring and due diligence failures involving Bowyer.
