Kazakhstan measures coincide with 50% fall in iGaming activity

Regulation

Kazakhstan’s iGaming activity fell by roughly 50% in the first week of June after government directives issued in May restricted telecom access and mobile payment channels, according to figures from Blask. The firm also reported declines of 49.5% in Uzbekistan and 40.5% in Tajikistan.

Payment and telecom restrictions may affect illegal operators’ ability to reach customers and process transactions in these markets.
