Zimbabwe raises betting taxes as reported iGaming demand grows
Zimbabwe’s betting tax rates changed on 1 January 2026, increasing the operator charge to 20% of gross monthly takings and withholding on player winnings to 25%, according to the report. Blask Index data showed demand up 137.4% from September 2025 to September 2026, while projected revenue rose 73.2% over the same period.
The higher tax rates affect operators’ costs and withholding obligations in Zimbabwe’s betting market.
