In brief

  • Blask analysis puts offshore brands at 84% of French gambling demand in autumn.
  • Blask's daily France index more than doubled between 7 and 20 September and between 29 September and 12 October 2026.
  • By late October offshore operators' search share remained above pre-rise levels, the analysis says.
  • The indicator tracks searches, not revenue or betting volume, Blask's analysis notes.

Offshore gambling brands accounted for 84% of demand in France during an autumn rise in interest, according to an analysis by Blask reported on 29 October 2026. The analysis points to a trend in which increased interest in gambling did not translate into a larger share for licensed operators in the French market.

Blask's daily index for France more than doubled between 7 and 20 September and between 29 September and 12 October 2026. The rise coincided with a wave of national protests that began with school blockades in late September.

According to the analysis, by late October, as interest began to decline, offshore operators held a search share in France above the level recorded before the start of the growth period. The data therefore show a gap between the rise in gambling interest and the ability of regulated operators to capture that demand.

The search trend analysed by Blask points to the weight of offshore brands in the French market, including after the autumn peak in interest subsided. The indicator measures demand through searches, so its results do not necessarily equate to market shares in revenue or betting volume. The analysis nonetheless offers a reference on the visibility of and interest generated by regulated and unregulated brands among French users.
