Italy’s physical gambling reorganisation misses planned cabinet approval
Italy’s proposed reorganisation of land-based gambling was not included on the Council of Ministers’ 4 June agenda, according to the Italian Federation of Tobacco Retailers. The draft decree, prepared by the Customs and Monopolies Agency under the Finance Ministry’s supervision, was expected to address betting shops and gaming machines; the reported reasons for the delay remain unconfirmed.
The delay leaves operators without a final national framework for physical gambling venues and machines.
