ADM director-general Roberto Alesse said games and tobacco would generate about one billion euros in tax revenue for 2027. He said the amount had been included in the draft budget, which still requires approval.

Roberto Alesse, director-general of the Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli, put the tax revenue from public games and tobacco at about a billion euros for 2027 alone. The remarks came during the Urania Policy & Business Forum, held in Rome.

Alesse said the amount had entered the budget law, which still has to be approved. He said ADM had provided what the Government asked of it this year. Alesse also said ADM accounts for about €80bn in tax revenue.
