Online casino spending in Italy reached €304 million in July 2026, up 15.3% from the same month a year earlier, according to reported market figures. Lottomatica held a 31.10% share of spending, ahead of Sisal at 13.69% and Eurobet at 7.74%.

Lottomatica led Italy’s retail sports-betting market in September, reportedly, with a 45.2% share. Turnover reached €500 million, up 14% year on year, while player spending was €59 million, a 17% increase; Flutter held 29.8% and Eurobet 16.4%.
It was reported that AGIC called for reform of Italy’s physical gambling market to receive urgent attention. The association represents concessionaires including bet365, Brightstar, Eurobet, Lottomatica and Sisal.
Agic warned that delays to Italy’s reform of land-based gambling and restrictions on the location of authorised venues could favour illegal gambling, according to a report. The association called for the reform to be completed and the rules on venue distribution to be revised; the report said the process had stalled after discussions between the government, regions and local authorities.
Italy’s online cash poker market recorded €4.57m in spending in June 2026, up 1.6% year on year, according to reported operator data. PokerStars held a 36.39% share, ahead of Lottomatica at 20.94% and Sisal at 18.06%; Sisal’s spending rose 76.2%, while bet365’s fell 8.5%.
Casaleggio Associati ranked Sisal first among Italian betting and casino websites, followed by Goldbet, Planetwin365 and Lottomatica. Its October ranking estimated monthly unique visitors at 8.4m, 2.87m, 2.54m and 1.73m respectively. The research excludes app traffic and uses estimated traffic alongside brand popularity, visit duration and bounce rates.
Sisal ranked first among Italian betting and casino websites in Casaleggio Associati's October Ecommerce Ranking, followed by Goldbet, Planetwin365 and Lottomatica, according to the research. The ranking estimates Sisal's monthly unique visitors at 8.4m, Goldbet's at about 2.87m, Planetwin365's at 2.54m and Lottomatica's at 1.73m.
