Indexa/Broadcast poll finds 63% say candidates’ bets stance does not affect vote
A poll of Brazilian voters found that 63% said a presidential candidate’s position on betting had no influence on their vote, according to the survey published on 1 October. The poll also found that 70% supported banning bets, while 21% favoured allowing them under stricter rules. The report said 2,000 voters were interviewed from 27 to 29 September.
The findings measure voter views on betting policy during an election campaign and debate over a proposed market ban.
