Enforcement & compliance

Haarlem mayor Jos Wienen ordered a business premises in the Waarderpolder closed for six months after an illegal poker tournament was found there. Police and the Kansspelautoriteit had raided the site earlier in the year; 12 people were taking part, and two alleged organisers were arrested.

The closure removes a venue used for illegal gambling from operation for six months.
