Enforcement & compliance

Spain’s DGOJ has opened an investigation into Polymarket and Kalshi for operating without the required licences, and the platforms have been blocked, according to the report. The restrictions are expected to remain for three to four months, pending the investigation’s conclusion.

The blocks restrict the two prediction-market platforms from serving customers in Spain while the licensing investigation proceeds.
