Spain’s DGOJ data showed online bingo GGR fell nearly 5% in the second quarter of 2026 compared with the previous quarter. Amounts wagered declined by between 2% and 4% over the same period, according to the figures. The report also cited first-half 2025 wagering and GGR figures for comparison.

South Korea recorded 267 arrests of teenage suspects in cyber-gambling cases from January to July 2026, according to figures submitted to the Korean National Police Agency. The count exceeded the 266 arrests recorded across all of 2025; Southern Gyeonggi had the highest regional total, with 50. Lawmaker Kim Jun-hyeok urged education authorities to measure the effectiveness of school gambling-prevention programmes, rather than only checking whether they are provided.
Data provided by the National Gambling Control Commission to lawmaker Lim Oh-kyeong showed that 5,838 people aged 19 or younger received gambling-related assistance in 2025. Separate figures cited in the report found 24,474 teenagers were identified as high risk, while 1,235 were referred to the Korea Problem Gambling Agency; a 2025 survey found 4% of 13,481 students had gambled at least once.
The Italian Federation of Tobacco Retailers (FIT) said ADM’s 2024 Blue Book recorded €157.39bn in legal gambling turnover in Italy, including €92.09bn online and €65.30bn through physical channels. FIT said online turnover rose 11.57% in 2024, while physical-channel turnover increased 0.31%.
CasinoBeats reported, citing Newsis, that teenage cyber gambling offenders in South Korea increased 4.4-fold in a year. The figures came from police, education authorities and the national gambling prevention and treatment centre.
Klavi data reported that 34.8% of Brazil’s population had bet since the World Cup began, up from 11% in May, based on a sample of 1.2 million people. The study also found average deposits peaked at R$524 per bettor on 14 June; the Ministry of Justice is investigating CazéTV, Globo and SBT over suspected abusive advertising practices, and all three said they complied with Brazilian law.
