South Korean data show 5,838 young people received gambling-related assistance
Data provided by the National Gambling Control Commission to lawmaker Lim Oh-kyeong showed that 5,838 people aged 19 or younger received gambling-related assistance in 2025. Separate figures cited in the report found 24,474 teenagers were identified as high risk, while 1,235 were referred to the Korea Problem Gambling Agency; a 2025 survey found 4% of 13,481 students had gambled at least once.
The figures inform prevention and referral planning for young people identified as at risk of gambling-related harm.
