Austrian survey finds more than 26% of online players avoided Win2Day

Regulation

A survey commissioned by the Austrian Economic Chamber’s gambling group found that 38% of Austrians had gambled online in the previous 12 months. More than 26% of those surveyed said they had not used Win2Day, Austria’s sole legal provider, during that period; the report also said over 30% used the platform only rarely.

The survey figures provide context for Austria’s debate over reforming its gambling market and the online black market.
