More in Common survey finds 51% of Brazilians view betting influencers negatively

Regulation

A More in Common survey conducted with Ipsos-Ipec found that 51% of Brazilians viewed influencers promoting betting negatively, according to a report published on 30 July. The survey found 9% viewed them positively and 19% neutrally; 40% said such advertising reduced or undermined their trust in celebrities, influencers and athletes. ANJL president Plínio Lemos Jorge said the public should distinguish promoters of authorised operators from those advertising illegal platforms.

The findings give betting operators and advertisers evidence of public attitudes towards influencer campaigns in Brazil.
