ACMA finds more than 500 BetStop breaches by Entain brands
Australia's ACMA said Ladbrokes and Neds allowed customers registered with the BetStop self-exclusion scheme to open or retain wagering accounts. It identified more than 500 alleged breaches but did not issue an infringement notice because the 12-month penalty deadline had passed; Entain gave a court-enforceable undertaking.
Operators must close accounts held by customers registered with BetStop, while Entain's undertaking remains enforceable by the courts.
