Arizona attorney general charges Kalshi entities over unlicensed wagering

Enforcement & compliance

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes filed a 20-count criminal indictment against KalshiEx LLC and Kalshi Trading LLC, alleging they operated an unlicensed gambling business and accepted election wagers in Arizona. The misdemeanour charges include four counts related to election betting; Kalshi chief executive Tarek Mansour called them baseless. Separately, Polymarket announced a partnership making it MLB’s exclusive prediction market exchange partner, and MLB and the CFTC signed a cooperation memorandum.

The charges put Kalshi’s Arizona operations and election contracts under criminal scrutiny, while Polymarket’s MLB agreement establishes a separate league partnership.
