Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel filed a lawsuit against Kalshi’s parent company on 3 March, alleging that Kalshi offered gambling products without a state licence. The suit seeks a permanent injunction to stop the platform operating in Michigan. Kalshi had not issued a statement, according to the report.

New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez has sued Kalshi, alleging it offered unlicensed sports wagering in the state. The complaint says Kalshi lacked gaming operator and manufacturer licences and seeks an injunction to stop its sports-related markets; the allegations have not been established by a court.
Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes filed a 20-count criminal indictment against KalshiEx LLC and Kalshi Trading LLC, alleging they operated an unlicensed gambling business and accepted election wagers in Arizona. The misdemeanour charges include four counts related to election betting; Kalshi chief executive Tarek Mansour called them baseless. Separately, Polymarket announced a partnership making it MLB’s exclusive prediction market exchange partner, and MLB and the CFTC signed a cooperation memorandum.
Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway ordered Polymarket, Kalshi, Crypto.com, Novig, Underdog and Robinhood to comply with state sports wagering laws or stop offering sports event contracts in Missouri. The companies have 30 days to confirm compliance; the state says the contracts require Missouri Gaming Commission licences, and Robinhood disputes the state’s position.
Robinhood will stop offering new sports-related event contracts to Michigan customers under a court-approved agreement with state officials. It must close remaining positions by 9 October; officials agreed not to take enforcement action while Robinhood complies, and the agreement leaves the dispute over state authority unresolved.
A Michigan court issued a temporary restraining order against Kalshi, requiring its sports event contracts to be geofenced in the state for 14 days, according to a report. Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel secured the order.
