AGCO sets individual licensing requirements for Ontario thoroughbred racing
Source: AGCO (Ontario)
Ontario’s AGCO lists licensing categories and requirements for people working in thoroughbred racing. Owners of any part of a horse racing in Ontario need a valid licence, while applicants in other roles—including trainers, jockeys, veterinarians and pari-mutuel staff—must meet the requirements for their category; applications are handled through iAGCO.
The requirements determine which individuals may participate in or work in Ontario thoroughbred racing.
