AGCO sets application requirements for cannabis shops on First Nations reserves

The AGCO says applicants seeking to operate cannabis retail stores on First Nations reserves must apply for both a retail store licence and a store authorisation. A complete authorisation application must include a band council resolution approving the proposed location; eligibility is also subject to Ontario’s cannabis licensing law and regulation.
Applicants and operators need band council approval for the proposed store site to qualify for an authorisation.
