Enforcement & compliance

Ontario’s Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) fined Great Canadian Entertainment C$120,000 over unapproved or revoked bill-validator software found on 40 machines at four casino sites. The software was installed between February and March 2025, and the operator has 15 days to appeal to the Licence Appeal Tribunal.

The penalty reinforces approval requirements for casino equipment and gives the operator a 15-day appeal window.
