Great Canadian completes River Rock Casino Resort sale in British Columbia

Great Canadian Entertainment said it completed the sale of River Rock Casino Resort in British Columbia to Petroglyph Development Group and Musqueam Capital Corp. The buyers’ purchase followed an agreement reached in October 2025; the resort has more than 1,200 slot machines and electronic table games, over 80 live table games and nearly 400 hotel rooms.

The completed sale changes ownership of a major casino resort in British Columbia.

France's competition authority approves Banijay's Joa acquisition without conditions

France's competition authority has approved Banijay's planned acquisition of casino operator Joa without conditions. The review, the authority's first of a gambling transaction spanning online and land-based operations, focused mainly on poker and concluded that the deal was unlikely to restrict competition. The authority said its assessment did not account for possible future legalisation of online casino games.
