Rio Branco bans gambling advertising at municipally backed events
Rio Branco’s municipal government sanctioned Law 2,678, prohibiting gambling and betting-platform advertising at events organised or sponsored by the municipality. The law, published on 6 April, covers event contracts, performances and promotional materials, with a fine of up to the full contract value; sponsorship on team uniforms in regular official sports competitions is exempt.
Operators and event contractors must account for the local advertising ban and its contract-linked penalty.
