Québec Court of Appeal dismisses KGC appeal over Magic Palace review
The Québec Court of Appeal dismissed the Kahnawake Gaming Commission’s appeal on 17 February, upholding a 2024 ruling that provincial courts can review its licensing decisions involving Magic Palace. The owners’ lawsuit challenging the commission’s suspension and invalidation of the casino’s licences will continue.
The ruling leaves the Superior Court able to review the KGC’s licensing decisions in the ongoing Magic Palace dispute.
