New York plans downstate casino licences for the metropolitan region

Licences & markets

New York plans to award several full-casino licences for the southern part of the state, including locations in or near New York City, according to the report. The New York State Gaming Commission will oversee the licensing process. Proposed resorts would combine casinos with hotels, conference facilities, dining, retail and entertainment.

The proposed licences could create new casino opportunities for operators and suppliers in the New York market.
