New York City revises Metropolitan Park agreement to protect US Open
New York City and the developers behind the Metropolitan Park casino proposal submitted a revised pre-development agreement on 17 November, adding written protections for the US Open. The change followed a temporary restraining order issued after the USTA sued the city; the association said its lawsuit would continue, with an injunction hearing scheduled for 11 December.
The agreement revision addresses US Open protections while the casino proposal’s legal challenge remains active.
