Nevada court orders Kalshi to block state residents by 4 May

Enforcement & compliance

Carson City's First Judicial District Court ordered Kalshi to prevent Nevada residents from accessing its markets, according to the court decision reported on 3 April. The order extends a temporary restriction and gives the company until 4 May to implement geolocation controls; the judge found its event contracts constituted unlicensed gambling. Kalshi said it plans to appeal.

The order requires Kalshi to restrict access in Nevada and could affect operators offering event contracts there.
