Nevada court bars Polymarket from offering services in the state

Enforcement & compliance

A Nevada state court granted the Nevada Gaming Control Board a preliminary injunction against QCX LLC, which operates as Polymarket, on 29 May. The order prevents the company from offering services in Nevada; the court was expected to issue a written order. The board said it would continue enforcing state law, while prediction market operators argue federal commodities law pre-empts state gaming rules.

The injunction restricts Polymarket in Nevada and adds to the legal dispute over state authority to regulate event contracts.
