Nevada court bars Kalshi event contracts for at least 14 days
A Nevada court ordered Kalshi to suspend its activities in the state for at least 14 days, barring contracts linked to sports, elections or entertainment events without state authorisation. The temporary restraining order follows a dispute over whether the contracts fall under Nevada gambling law; a further hearing is scheduled for early April.
Kalshi must halt the covered contracts in Nevada while the court considers whether restrictions should continue.
