Nevada board recommends Resorts World director’s licensure and Bowyer ban

Enforcement & compliance

Nevada’s Gaming Control Board recommended Michelle DiTondo for licensure and Mathew Bowyer for a ban, sending both matters to the Nevada Gaming Commission for consideration on 29 January. Bowyer may request an evidentiary hearing. The board’s recommendations follow the casino’s $10.5 million anti-money-laundering fine; the source reports that the commission will consider the cases at its meeting.

The commission’s decisions could affect Resorts World’s governance and Bowyer’s eligibility under Nevada gaming rules.
