Licences & markets

The Nevada Gaming Control Board recommended Carlos Castro, president and chief financial officer of Resorts World Las Vegas, for approval ahead of his 26 March appearance before the Nevada Gaming Commission. Castro told regulators he had reorganised leadership and introduced measures focused on anti-money laundering and compliance. Resorts World Las Vegas was previously fined $10.5 million for catering to an illegal bookmaker.

The commission's decision will determine whether Castro receives a licence as the casino describes changes following an enforcement case.
