Regulation

Togo's National Lottery (LONATO) began deducting a 5% levy from lottery prizes of CFA 500,000 or more on 1 January 2026, according to its announcement. LONATO said it remits the proceeds to the Office Togolais des Recettes; a prize at the threshold incurs a CFA 25,000 deduction.

Lottery operators must account for the 5% deduction on qualifying prizes and remit proceeds to the revenue office.
