Italy’s MEF sets national lottery rules with prizes up to €20m

Regulation

Italy’s Ministry of Economy and Finance issued a regulation for national deferred-draw lotteries, including online participation, effective 25 July 2026. The rules allow digital tickets bought through authorised gaming accounts and prizes of up to €20 million; ADM will set operational details for each lottery.

Lottery operators and authorised account providers must accommodate digital tickets under the new national framework.
