Lottopar, the lottery authority of the Brazilian state of Paraná, reported that instant-lottery prizes totalled R$340.5m between January and September 2026, according to figures the authority released. The nine-month total exceeded the R$208.1m distributed in all of 2025.
The authority said Lottopar has collected more than R$60m since it began operations in 2024. Instant-lottery prizes in 2024 were R$4.3m, and accumulated prizes since 2024 have passed R$610m, according to the figures.
Authorised concessionaires are required to apply identification procedures, financial controls, anti-money-laundering measures and responsible-gambling policies, Lottopar said. The authority said it aims to reduce the space for the clandestine market by offering legal, supervised alternatives, and that these requirements are being refined as the market matures and the retail network expands.
Daniel Romanowski, director-president of Lottopar, said the authority's role extends beyond operating lotteries. He said Lottopar is consolidating a legal, supervised and responsible market that protects the bettor, helps reduce the space of the clandestine market and generates returns for society, and that growth should come with security, transparency and the public interest. He added that the lottery shows continuous and sustainable growth although the market is still maturing.
